John Kirby Tribute Jazz Concert

Please join us in celebrating this Winchester-born jazzman who played a significant role in developing the genre, particularly “classical jazz” in the 1930s and 40s. Featuring a jazz sextet recreating John Kirby’s “Onyx Club Band” led by Bob Larson, recently retired Chair of Jazz Studies at Shenandoah Conservatory.
