Joyful Giving

As a non-profit senior living community, Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury (SVWC) relies on the generosity of residents, families, and friends to sustain the programs and systems that make our Life Plan Community in Winchester, VA, special. From providing peace of mind through our Fellowship Fund to enhancing daily life with arts, wellness, and staff support, every gift ensures SVWC remains a place of stability, connection, and opportunity for all who call it home.

Fellowship Fund

At SVWC, financial hardship should never stand in the way of lifelong security. The Fellowship Fund offers confidential support to residents who, despite careful planning, encounter unanticipated financial difficulties. It ensures no one is ever asked to leave due to lack of resources, offering dignity, stability, and peace of mind during life’s most fragile moments.

Ways to Give

While the Fellowship Fund remains the heart of our mission, SVWC offers many other meaningful opportunities to support the people, programs, and places that shape life in our senior living community. Whether you’re passionate about the arts, education, wellness, or spiritual life, your gift can be directed where it matters most to you.

If you're unsure where to direct your gift, the Foundation team is here to help match your interests with areas of need.

Impact Stories

“Mom managed the Great Depression and prospered but found few controls for escalating prescription drug costs and a downturned financial world. The generosity of Westminster-Canterbury’s Fellowship Fund allowed me to assure her, during the most fragile time of her life, that all was well.”

FAMILY MEMBER OF A FELLOWSHIP FUND RECIPIENT

“By offering employees the opportunity to pursue further education and professional development, SVWC puts into action the commitment of its mission – to enrich lives, not only for residents but for team members, too, which is just one more example of how we are all connected for life.”
