New Lawrence Gallery Exhibitor

Who I Am - I Teach, I Paint, is an exhibit featuring watercolors by SVWC Resident, Ron Hamme. Ron focuses on painting transparent watercolors in the Brandywine tradition, which he studied under David Lenker, a well-known watercolor painter in the area. After college, he taught high school art for 44 years and Humanities through the local community college for 25 years.

To Ron, art was always a two-way street: while teaching, he also learned from his students. His drawings, ink washes, and paintings are all expressions of his love of art, presented through creations of his own world of beauty. The Art Committee is excited to share his works.

An opening reception will take place on Saturday, January 10, from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. in the Abbey above the main lobby. SVWC is located at 300 Westminster-Canterbury Dr. Call 540-665-0156 with any questions.
