Bistro Concert for June

June Concert Features Celtic Music!
One Street Over is a Celtic roots band known for blending traditional tunes and original compositions. They will perform in the Bistro on Friday, June 20.
The band’s five lively musicians each play a remarkable assortment of instruments, including fiddle, mandocello, Irish flute, bouzouki, mandolin, guitar, bodhran, and several more. Their top-quality musicianship, derived from diverse musical backgrounds that include classical, bluegrass, punk rock, and, of course, Irish traditions, is something to be truly appreciated.
They are light-hearted yet skilled and serious musicians. Some have been band members for years, while others are relatively new. Several of them compose new music. Sometimes, they team up in their creative efforts. You’ll hear tunes like “Ships are Sailing,” “Killarney Boys,” “Old Maui,” and “Castle Kelly.” This performance marks their first visit to Westminster Canterbury. They are considered to be among the best of the Irish bands in this area, so we're fortunate to have them play for us here in the Bistro.
The performance will begin at 7:30 pm. Admission is $10 (cash only, please) at the entrance, and the concert is open to the public. Atlantic Union Bank sponsors SVWC's Bistro Concert Series. Please call 540-665-0156 for more information.
