Creating a Children's Picture Book

Resident, Tara Bell has written and illustrated two children's books, "A Harpers Ferry Cat Tale" and "A Harpers Ferry Dog Tale." Her display in the Lawrence Gallery Showcases will explain the necessary steps to successfully publish a book. From manuscripts, to storyboards and publisher approvals, and last-minute changes - you will see the real work that takes place behind the scenes.

An Opening Reception takes place on Saturday, July 18, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the gallery and main lobby. Tara will have books to sign and sell during the event.
