COVID-19 Info

On February 1, 2023, SVWC reopened to the public for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began. As of late August, due to a recent increase in COVID-19 cases on campus, we strongly encourage everyone to wear a surgical or KN-95 mask.  When visiting in the Assisted Living or Healthcare neighborhoods, please limit your visit to the resident’s apartment.

SVWC is required to change visitation processes, at times, according to county/city positivity rates. Our mission is for residents to live their lives fully, and we must provide a quality living environment in which safety is paramount.

Please know that our decision-making is based on what we feel is best for residents while following guidance from the U.S. Center For Disease Control (CDC) and the Virginia Department of Health (VDH). Our on-campus visitation practices are dependent on circumstances beyond our control, with our best efforts put forth to communicate as quickly as possible.

If you have any questions about visiting our campus, please call 540-665-0156 for further clarification.

For additional information about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), please refer to the U.S. Center For Disease Control (CDC) website at the following link: www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html or the Virginia Department of Health:  https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/.
