Our Dining Services Department is truly devoted to our residents and guests. At Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury, we always strive to provide the best dining experience possible, offering virtually unlimited food options for individual dining as well as catered events and functions.
With all the choices that we offer here, the everyday menu truly gives you freedom. This daily menu gives you the ability to request what you want, how you want it – including items that are not on the dinner menu! There are options for gluten-free items, salads, daily fresh vegetables and sandwiches, prepared with just an hour’s notice. Virtually all entrees and sides, along with the soups, are prepared from scratch. Seasonally selected vegetables carefully chosen from local farms for freshness round out our offerings.
In addition, our chefs prepare wonderful treats for special diets: gluten- or sugar-free, low-calorie, low-sodium, low-cholesterol, low-fat, vegan and more. Even pureed items are artfully crafted for beautiful presentation and taste. Just call the chef by 3 p.m. If we have the ingredients, we’ll be happy to delight you!
Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury has a full-time registered dietitian who is available to meet with you at your convenience to explain nutrition, help you pick a specific diet and discuss options for a healthy lifestyle. You can also come learn about making smarter, healthier decisions and ask our registered dietitian questions during her monthly “Talkin’ Nutrition with the Dietitian” classes held in our bistro.
Don’t miss our monthly “Chef Stage Center.” This live event, hosted by our chef, offers multiple courses paired with wine. If you enjoy Food Network-style demos on TV, you will love the chef demo.
