SVWC's Annual History booklet, "Birding Inside SVWC," is now available. Future resident Barbara Chaplin has been coordinating this project for several years and does an excellent job gathering articles and photographs to produce a top-quality publication. We are so grateful for her hard work and dedication!
Included are birds in paintings, photos, collections in display cabinets, stitchery, upholstery, carpets, shelf-sitter "flocks," resident door decorations, nests in Courtyard trees, birds on balconies/patios, the "bird & puzzle bridge" bird watcher's station, etc.
Other features include:
~ For The Birds (Our Music Therapist's song, which she wrote for this section and then held a contest.)
~ Ukrainian Easter Egg Decorating
~ Birds and Wildlife Call Young Readers (One of the Little Libraries with painted birds and other critters, thanks to our Art Instructor)
~ Aviaries (Located in Assisted Living and Healthcare)
~ Our Fabulous Feathered Friends (A Lawrence Gallery Audubon Photography Exhibit)
