Farley Massey & Julie

Marvin Gore

Marvin Gore is a familiar face to the residents at Westminster-Canterbury.  For more than seventeen years, he has lived at the community in five different apartments.  Marvin and his first wife, Marian, moved to Westminster-Canterbury, where they lived for eleven years until her death.  He met and married his second wife, Millie, here and they had five wonderful years together.  Marvin is blessed with a daughter and son who live in Virginia and four grown grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Marvin is a retired insurance agent and a veteran of WWII, where he flew B-25’s for the Air Force.  He has acquired a wide circle of friends at Westminster-Canterbury, and is always on the go.  He enjoys the theatre and is one of the seven members of the Westbury Boys and Evie singing group.  They perform around Winchester and are a featured act at many events at Westminster-Canterbury.  Marvin shares his computer skills with friends, designing birthday cards and other well wishes.  He believes that moving here was the best decision he ever made and that it is one of the most beautiful places he has ever seen.
