Residents' Association
The Residents' Association operates for the benefit of all residents in giving them a voice and chance to freely express their opinions and suggestions for maintaining an open and caring atmosphere. All residents are members of the Resident’s Association, which meets on a monthly basis. The Association is responsible for organizing the residents into the various committee and activity groups that enhances their shared life. The committees are as follows:
Buildings & Grounds Committee
Serves as an important channel of communication between Westminster-Canterbury residents and the Administration, concerning maintenance and grounds.
Courtesy Committee
Responsible for sending a yellow rose to all Westminster-Canterbury residents who are hospitalized, for at least two nights, within a six-month period.
Food Service Committee
Serves as a liaison between the Food Service Director and Westminster-Canterbury residents of Independent Living.
History Committee

Resale Shop
The Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury Resale Shop is organized and operated by a resident committee for the purpose of raising money for the Fellowship Fund.
Welcome Committee
Responsible for meeting, greeting and assisting new residents as they move into the apartments or cottages. The goal of the committee is to help new residents with the process of adjusting to their new home and surroundings.
Westbury World
The popular monthly newspaper is produced by a group of residents and a Westminster-Canterbury staff member who meet once a month.
Biographies
One of the good things about our community is the ability to meet and get to know so many other residents. The biography task group facilitates this by producing and distributing informative biographies of new residents.
Woodworking Shop
The woodworking shop welcomes residents who have a love for working with wood and/or repairing furniture and other items.
