How soon should I plan to come to SVWC?

Why wait? Our lower age limit is 62; however, contract arrangements can be made for those who are younger. Live life to the fullest measure. Meet new friends, get rid of the lawn mower and rake, get out the hiking shoes and swim suit. Make new friends, begin a lifestyle that will add years to your life.

Lately I have heard the term “Continuing Care” a lot. What is “Continuing Care”?

Continuing Care is the concept of offering all levels of care thus providing for the physical, emotional, and social needs a resident may have. For example, should a resident break a bone and require recuperative care following a hospital stay, arrangements are provided for that care on the SVWC campus. For the resident in recovery, coming home and being near friends greatly reduces recovery time.

What is the Lifecare program?

When you decide to come to SVWC and if you qualify as an Independent Living resident, you can enroll in our Lifecare program. This program means that if you require the services of Assisted Living or Health Care, you are guaranteed those levels of care with no substantial increase in your monthly fees. As part of the services offered in independent living, you are provided one meal per day. In Assisted Living or Health Care you would be provided with three meals per day. While you are in Assisted Living or Health Care, your monthly fee would increase by the amount of those two additional meals.

What if I change my mind? Can I get a refund on my deposit?

Yes, the Future Priority Deposit is 100% refundable. In addition, we have several financial plans to choose from, including the Standard Entrance Fee Refund Plan, an optional 50% Refundable Entrance Fee Plan, or 100% Refundable Entrance Fee Plan. A marketing representative is happy to discuss these options with you.

You are an accredited community. What does that mean?

We are proud that SVWC is accredited by the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission. This means that SVWC has been recognized for superior quality in service, amenities, and management. This accreditation puts SVWC in a very elite group of the nation's retirement communities.

Are there any other services available for me?
