Partnerships

Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury partners with several local institutions of higher learning to promote nursing care in a long-term care setting. These partnerships include the Registered Nursing program at Shenandoah University and the Licensed Practical Nursing and Certified Nursing Aide program at Lord Fairfax Community College. Students from both of these fine institutions perform a portion of their clinical hours at our campus working directly with our staff and residents. 

In addition to the clinical side, we also contract with Shenandoah University to provide weekly music therapy to our residents in assisted living and health care. 

We serve as a preceptor sight for the Shenandoah University School of Pharmacy. Each semester, many of the first year pharmacy students are assigned to our community to learn more about the clientele they will be serving as future pharmacists.
